Pigeon Island Tour

Pigeon Island Tour: Explore a Sri Lankan Gem

This boat tour takes you to Pigeon Island. The island hosts one of the most exotic and beautiful white sand beaches of Sri Lanka. It’s also a perfect spot for snorkeling and relaxing by the sea.

Sail the Indian Ocean with our expert boatman. You’ll travel in a comfortable, safe, and brand new boat.

Discover Pigeon Island Marine National Park

Pigeon Island is significant as one of Sri Lanka’s three marine national parks. It is absolutely brimming with breathtaking coral reefs. Furthermore, it’s home to a stunning array of more than 300 exotic marine species and colorful fish.

You can often find yourself snorkeling near fascinating marine life. The island is frequently visited by sea turtles, such as Hawksbill Turtles and Green Turtles. You might even easily find yourself snorkeling near beautiful Lemon Sharks or Blacktip Reef Sharks patrolling the area!

Tour Details and Booking

A minimum number of two customers is required to confirm the trip. However, if you are a solo traveler and the first person to book, we will put your booking on hold. We will confirm it via email as soon as the next customer makes the same reservation. In the remote case the minimum number of participants has not been reached, we will promptly contact you and offer alternative options.

We want you to spend most of your time exploring and relaxing on the island. Therefore, we accept only a limited number of customers per trip. This way, you won’t be waiting in long queues under the sun to get on your boat.

Convenient Departure from Nilaveli Beach

To shorten your transfer time, our boats leave directly from Nilaveli beach. Nilaveli is located north of Trincomalee, just in front of Pigeon Island. We will pick you up at your hotel. Then, we will drive you conveniently by tuk-tuk to the departure point.

Combine Your Visit with Dining or Fishing

On the way back home, you will have the opportunity to stop by at our Bar & Restaurant for a quick lunch, a refreshing drink, or simply to chill out.

You might also want to combine your visit to Pigeon Island with an additional tour. In that case, we would recommend the Whale Watching Tour, or the Fun Fishing Tour.
